The Salvation Army, Glenmore Temple, assists the broader Salvation Army in the city of Calgary in various capacities throughout the year. This page highlights some of the activities Glenmore Temple has helped with!

Coldest Night of the Year

This was the first year that The Salvation Army in Calgary participated in Coldest Night of the Year. This event was led by The Salvation Army Community Ministries (Calgary) and many other Salvation Army ministry teams in Calgary partnered for the cause. On February 23rd over 100 people and volunteers gathered at Glenmore Temple Corps to participate in the 5K walk.

The money raised is going back into the community, as we are replacing our washers/dryers at the Center of Hope. The washers/dryers are not only used by the clients but are for public access as well.

It was a fantastic event!

The Salvation Army Calgary Christmas Toy Campaign

Glenmore Temple assisted in the distribution of The Salvation Army Toy Hampers on Wednesday Dec. 19. They distributed hampers to 300 families. The CommuKnity Cares program was actively involved this season, as they handed out a pair of hand knit mittens to each child that came through our doors.
